How Do You Get Engaged Followers On Instagram?

How Do You Get Engaged Followers On Instagram?

You may have noticed: the algorithm has changed again and along with the holidays this has drastically reduced the range for most people.

Is that bad? Maybe maybe not. It just depends on what your goals are. I will tell you what the algorithm is and how you can work with it.

The algorithm is not bad. The algorithm is a formula that determines what you see. But on the other hand, you decide what you see, because by your behavior you form the algorithm. If you like something, give a comment, or share something, the algorithm picks it up as interesting content. Other content with the same topic will be on your timeline faster.

Through a greater involvement of likes, comments, and share actions, you will emerge faster when someone opens their Instagram. Due to a lot of followers, but little involvement, the algorithm will not quickly show your post to your followers. Because these have not shown any interaction or interest anymore. The more you post the more people might see your profile, but if you create better content you will have more interaction.

Joana would rather have multiple followers who follow few people themselves than very large accounts that follow thousands of followers. Do you get it now? The more people that follow Joana, the less likely you are to be seen among all those thousands of photos that are shown. But it is not true that your photo is not displayed at all if Joana is on Instagram long enough, your photo will automatically appear. The problem is that many people don't do this. ⁣
Respond quickly and always when someone leaves a comment. Besides that it is not nice of you not to respond, it is also not good for the algorithm.
Use stories for better visibility! Are you not at the top of your follower's feed? Use stories!! People watch many more stories in a row so when you show your face. Trigger people through your stories to go to your message to increase your involvement! ⁣

Additional tips

  • Create content that speaks. Instagram is still about image and quality photos will score better.

  • Use Instagram stories daily. Stories do not affect the algorithm, but your profile will always appear at the top of the app.

  • Go live on Instagram. Because of this, a percentage of your followers will receive a notification that you are going Live.

  • In general, posting between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM makes less sense than peak morning and evening times. Check your statistics! There is a new update: with a business/content account, you can now also see on which days you have had the most followers and how many have left.
