On the corner of the famous Albert Cuyp market in Amsterdam, you suddenly end up in a magical Spanish world. Escobar is one of the newest restaurants in the Pijp, with refined tapas on the menu.
When you see the sturdy steel facade, you have no idea what lies inside. Many people, therefore, enter with open mouths. Because they are hungry, but mainly because they are surprised by the large space and the Spanish interior. From the colorful tiles around the bar to the prancing Arab on the wall. The restaurant has a lot of space, but at the same time looks very cozy. This is due to the warm color combination and the various seating areas, downstairs and upstairs.
The menu is a combination based on Spanish and South American cuisine. So you would ask - What is on the menu? Tapas! But different from what you might be used to because it has to be a twist; otherwise, Escobar won’t be unique, right? Now, think of empanadas with Argentinian beef or a crispy taco with pork and pineapple. But also classics such as patatas bravas and calamari are included.
