How Do We Cure The "Virus" Of Travel During The COVID-19 Pandemic?

Every beginning of the year brings the desire to make plans for the new year, including travel. Unfortunately, the year 2020 started quite critically in this regard and limited our freedom of movement.

No matter how long the coronavirus pandemic lasts, it will go away, even if not as fast as we would have expected. Life goes on, and there will undoubtedly be life after the coronavirus. But what do we do until then? How do we satisfy our desire to travel?

How Do You Get Engaged Followers On Instagram?

How Do You Get Engaged Followers On Instagram?

You may have noticed: the algorithm has changed again and along with the holidays this has drastically reduced the range for most people.

Is that bad? Maybe maybe not. It just depends on what your goals are. I will tell you what the algorithm is and how you can work with it.

The algorithm is not bad. The algorithm is a formula that determines what you see. But on the other hand, you decide what you see, because by your behavior you form the algorithm. If you like something, give a comment, or share something, the algorithm picks it up as interesting content. Other content with the same topic will be on your timeline faster.

My Personal Life And Instagram Have Nothing In Common

My Personal Life And Instagram Have Nothing In Common

When my account got viral a few years ago, I would post daily. I didn’t care much about the number of likes I got, I knew I was getting the traction I wanted. I couldn’t have done this so easily if it wasn’t for my best friend and partner. He would ask me very often: "Oh, cool spot, maybe you want to take a picture?" And then obediently press the shutter button a hundred times. One hundred photos that are almost identical to the hundred he took the day before. But, I would take one of that photo and post on Instagram every single day

Netflix Series For Travelers

Netflix Series For Travelers

As television productions have larger budgets, they become more and more spectacular. I've seen exceptional movies and series, much better than many films produced for the Big Screen. With "spoilers" and opinions, you know some series and films that I highly recommend.

They made me laugh, cry, be amazed by the beauty of the places, and sit with my soul in my mouth, in short, to live. So I became addicted to this kind of movies and series, which means I feel like if I keep wasting time watching Netflix or HBO Go, I'm left with some of these things. To assimilate something, to take other ideas, to grow.

10 Ways To Make Your Travels The Best Experiences Of Your Life

Travel alone, at least once in your life

Maybe it's not for everyone, I can imagine. So you will not immediately feel comfortable with the idea that you are going out alone. It's ok; I mean, this is not a surprise, especially with everything going on in the world nowadays.

Live every day as if it could be the last

This doesn't just apply to traveling ... but with this in mind, you might be doing that one crazy thing that you probably never would have done otherwise. When I make a foodie trip, I am super scared I will gain more weight. Can you blame me? All those cupcakes, pies, burgers, pizza, croissants ...they only can add up! But that's that! Let it happen first, and then you deal with the issue. Perhaps you could overcome your fear of making that bungee jump or jump off the plane, buy that 40th pair of shoes or donate 3x more in one day. Today is today… tomorrow, we will see what does it bring.

Get up in the early early morning

You will be amazed at the beauty a city offers you when you wake up early and take things slowly; indeed, it opens your eyes and awakens a new feeling in you. The dew is rising from the grass, and the sun is slowly rising in the sky. A cup of coffee and a camera are the must-haves for these moments. Take photos without hordes of tourists, enjoy the locals who have already left the house at this time, and imagine yourself as one of the locals.

Discover the city until the late hours

A mistake that I have made many times myself. Running around during the day and seeing as much of the city as possible. Then, have a quick lunch with a cup of tea and muffin in hand and go again. Happy to hear the clock striking at 7 pm, because then you can finally have dinner and go to bed! But wherever it is so wonderful to enjoy the peace in the morning, you only see how everything comes to life in many cities around nighttime—a bottle of wine on the Spanish steps in Rome or at Sacre Cour in Paris, seeing all the dancers and listening to the music together with the locals. You will definitely find special moments at night.

Buy souvenirs that you keep and that are useful to you

How many pens, ugly shirts, or overpriced mugs and magnets do you have? Ah, no, I don't blame you! I have the same problem as you, and if this collection brought some extra income to the house, well, trust me, I would be rich by now. But I came home from every country and city with something different: a mug, pen, magnet, shirt, flag, or map. So my collection was overflowing, and I had nowhere to put anything. But, of course, if you collect one and the same, I see the absolute beauty in it. But my collection? Oh boy... So nowadays, I try to be a little more careful. A hat there, an old poster there, but I'm really thinking about using it. And that happens a bit more and more ... there are times where I don't even get a souvenir at all.

Meet new people

Be open to new people, different cultures, and the company of strangers. During my travels, I meet the most inspiring people. They tell a lot about their culture and are also extremely curious about the Netherlands or Romania. I still speak to many of the people I have ever met while traveling. Of course, some of them are not, but I have enjoyable memories of that. I couldn't have made it out with all my moves around the world without meeting new people… I'm very grateful to all of them!

Ask the locals

The best way to enjoy good food, drink a good glass of wine, or shop quietly? Ask the locals! When you are in a somewhat quieter city area, you will discover many cafes where you will not see many tourists. If you bump into locals there, please ask about the places and avoid the tourist attractions. Are you at this spot? Perhaps several locals will be there again, ask them about the following location and so on… I'm sure there will be a nice list of local hotspots!

Don't bring too much stuff

Because then you travel much more accessible! Only a backpack or small suitcase should be enough. It is so easy to move around with a backpack, and you don't have to think about where to go with all that stuff. Still, bring a large suitcase? Don't take too much with you, but take a lot back with you. Unfortunately, I am not a backpacker myself; hence I always have a carry-on with me. I bought it a few years ago at a discount, and I am happy to say it's still good.

Ignore the metro

Do not try to do everything by fast train (haha ..) by metro, but at least walk the way towards the museum or the attraction you want to see. In this way, you see more of the city and often discover unexpected, very nice places. Then, if you are tired, relax in a park or take the metro on the way back. I have encountered pleasant, fun, or crazy things so often during the walks towards 'the goal', and I absolutely recommend it!

Get rid of that roadmap!

Go with the flow. How stupid it is that we make tight schedules during our holidays and want to be somewhere punctually at certain times. It's a journey .. enjoy! Get lost just once. Hit the road without that map. You can get there without it. Walk down the alleys you would typically skip (because of that damn map!). In Hong Kong, we did that for the first day, and even though I was exhausted from all the humidity and heat, I can really say I had a more Asian experience than any of the following days.

What are your tips for making travel the best experience of your life?

Netflix Movies Ideal For Travel Lovers

Netflix Movies Ideal For Travel Lovers

We travel to see the world and learn about other cultures, about people, customs. About events, situations, about life. But we can also use the time we spend watching tabs or series, to travel from the armchair, sofa or bed to other worlds, to other universes. Let's discover new cultures, let's see beautiful landscapes. There are some series and movies that made me happy, amused, all in dream frames, or made me look for information, to find out more about certain countries, about people, about historical events. About certain principles and theories, things that make you think. And that fascinated me.

The End Of Luggage Stored In Aircraft Cabins? Italy Bans Them, But How Many Will Follow Suit?

The End Of Luggage Stored In Aircraft Cabins? Italy Bans Them, But How Many Will Follow Suit?

To reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection, Italy has announced that it will ban luggage storage in the compartment above the seats. Passengers will only carry small hand luggage on board, which can be stored under the front seat. Given the chaos often created with the storage and handling of bags in the cabin of the aircraft, it was a bit expected this measure to be in place. Many times, this has been on the first page of the newspapers. I am sure, we remember when a plane caught fire in Russia, and many passengers lost their lives because some blocked the corridor out of the desire to retrieve their luggage from above. It was not a singular case, with every incident in which rapid evacuation was necessary was the same story with luggage.

Practices To Get Rid Of The Fear Of Being Judged / Criticized By Those Around You

The most important thing is to feel good in our skin. And that should be enough. We often walk in fear of being judged unfavorably by those around us. And this hurts us excessively, not only in the small things we do but also in the significant decisions. We somehow seek the approval of others, their validation. And we come to the end of our lives, wondering why we wasted so much time in vain, instead of being free and happy.

Air Canada has announced that it plans to test all passengers before boarding and deliver the results in an hour. Is this the future of flights? Given that it may take another two to three years for a vaccine to become available (even 2 to 3 years is an optimistic scenario), it is understandable that alternatives are being sought in addition to treatment.

How To Start Your Own Business And Be Successful

How To Start Your Own Business And Be Successful

I actually started a business this year, right before the whole coronavirus pandemic started. I had everything planned, and I was arranging how to working out in the entrepreneurship world when the lockdown hit, and I had to postpone it.

The idea of being an entrepreneur started in 2007. I decided to travel to America on my own. The best decision I've ever made if you ask me is that besides being a beautiful country to discover, I learned a lot about myself. One of the most important things I learned was that I could express my opinion more and stand for myself. Before my trip to the US, I didn't do that often, and I was a bit too insecure.

We Will Not Run To Each Other When The Quarantine Is Over

At the beginning of quarantine, I wondered what I would discover. I expected a change in myself, to realize who I miss, or to have epiphanies, as I have seen in others. But as the days went by, I began to move further and further away from people. I didn't miss it, I didn't feel lonely, and when someone said "I'm here if you want to talk," I smiled politely, and I made them believe I will contact them soon but never did.
