Review - Foodie Spots in Amsterdam - Dignita
Dignita
Eat well, do good
When I moved to Amsterdam, I discovered there are so many beautiful places to eat, but a few months ago I noticed this hidden location between the Hermitage and Weesperstraat. For quite some time, I was seeing long lines in front of the place and wondering why would people stand there and not just find another location. At Dignita you can fully relax because it is an oasis of peace. In the summer you sit outside easily and enjoy the bustling area.
I should start talking about the food, right? In the end, that’s why you are here! You start your day with a sweet or savory breakfast. Or go for the crunchy muesli with yogurt and raspberry-chia jam. From 11 o'clock, choosing will be a bit more difficult. I have to admit, my Bennies (eggs Benedict) were delicious. My friend went for the sandwich with fried mushrooms, truffle crème fraîche, and fried sage. Delicious as well! I can go on and on about the menu, but you should just try it on your own!
If you eat at Dignita, you also contribute to society!
Dignita has the slogan: eat well, do good. The former is clear, but you may wonder what the latter stands for? That's how it works: they are part of Not For Sale. This is an international organization that provides support to a vulnerable target group, such as victims of human trafficking. They help them to become more resilient while they reintegrate into the labor market and society. Dignita also contributes to this. So you are doubly good here.
You can go every day from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm (the kitchen closes at 5:00 pm). Also nice to combine with other fun things you can do in Amsterdam. Dignita also has multiple branches, so definitely you can find it anywhere you are in the city. For all information, visit atwelldogood.nl .
