7 Things That Every Foodie Does

I feel most in my element when my fellow foodies surround me. Why is that so? Because I can take photographs without feeling ashamed, I can move the whole table setting without anyone looking at me weird. If you are foodie, just like me, you will recognize yourself in the points below because I just wrote down seven things that every foodie blogger does in a restaurant.

First: pictures!

There is no eating without a picture! Wherever I am, at home or in a restaurant, my plate is always put on display. I even stand on the chair for it, if necessary. Secretly, I usually make one plate look amazingly beautiful, which is the one for the photo. The other one is just a plate that has everything I want to eat, all put together (because you do not see it anyway). Yes, that's the way I do it, I'm honest about it!

If I take this, will you take that?

The best menu cards are those that you can never choose from and feel completely satisfied with the choice...and that's because there are so many goodies. Of course, this makes it difficult, but as a foodie, you most probably already know that you have constant choice stress. I can never choose. And now I have turned this into a sports game by making Vlad choose my 2nd option. This way, I can also taste from his plate.

"Hello darling, I am here?"

As soon as a plate of food passes by, I get instantly distracted. I can barely hear what my companion says. Also, I have this habit of looking at what other people at the restaurant order and checking their plates shamelessly even if that means twisting my neck for it. And that's how I get to the conclusion:" that also looks very nice, which is nothing but the sure path to the stress choice that I got(followed by the immediate question: "did I choose the right one?")

Takes a long time

This is bad. In a restaurant, I always think it takes sooooo long for the food to be served, and that's because I prefer having my food on the table within 20 minutes. Until the food arrives, I am continually looking around uneasily as to whether it is coming or not. Yes, I am. I tend not to ask questions about where my food is because I used to work in hospitality, so I know how hard the job is…also, I am scared someone will get mad and do funky stuff with my food – we all watch those YouTube videos!!!!

How were you ... "What did you all eat?"

If someone just came back from vacation, of course, you always ask how it went and whether they had fun or not, etc. I do that too, but not before I ask my most important question: "What did you all eat?". I do not ask this question only when people come back from vacation; actually, when Vlad is back home from work, I always ask him what he had for lunch.

Bad day? Food is the answer

And the last one is my next pitfall. Eating is a moment of happiness for me. Every bite I take must be excellent. If not, my mood immediately drops to -10. On some days, when I do not feel so happy, either I prepare for myself something extra tasty, either I eat pasta (my favorite food). I think it is completely justified to have pizza and ice cream (and pretty often also a piece of chocolate) because I deserve that and then complain again that my pants are too tight. Because secretly, that is also a thing that every foodie does.

I am sorry for what I said when I was hungry

You cannot perform on an empty stomach. An empty stomach is not suitable for my mood. Vlad, my boyfriend, always says: "I'll give you something to eat first, then you're at least calm." That is not lying. Especially on vacation, it often happens that we cannot find the right restaurant, and sometimes it feels like it is taking us forever because we have different food habits. I am only happy again when I take my first bite. Recognizable?Thank you!
