Zipline For The First Time In Scheveningen
The next day after Keukenhof, I went with my boyfriend on a new adventure. We went to Scheveningen, the beach area which is around 15 minutes away from city center of Den Haag. What it’s unique about this zip line? It’s around 350 meters distance from the top of the Bungy Tower (where you can bungee jump). You will go along the ferry wheel, on top of the sea and the beach and ends your adventure above the terraces of the Pier.
The ticket costs 30 EUR on the spot or 27 if you buy it in advance from the website ([www.zipholland.nl) We made our appointment around lunch time and we were part of a bigger group. The funny thing is, the ride lasts around 2 to 3 minutes, but there is the tower that you need to climb, there is also the equipment you need to take and the instructions you need to get from the specialists, this might take around 20 minutes, let’s say. Also, you should have in mind, that sometimes, the unpredictable happens, so plan your time wisely.
In my case, we had a family of 4 in front of us, with mom, dad, the big sister and one little curly blond boy, that when instruction were given he wasn’t paying any attention, but he looked so scared. He was either tiding his laces, either looking down to see how high we are, or holding his dad very tight. The mom and the big sister went first. When it was the little boy’s turn, the instructor prepared him take off a few times, but he was so scared, that the third time, he actually started to cry. Of course, in 5 years from now, he will want to do it more than once per day, but now things looked too scary from up there.
Funny thing is, I was very brave and sure that there is not going to be any problem for me, but went the door was opened and I had to set off I also had my second thoughts. Honestly the first 2 seconds I was trying to put my feet on something, but in the end the adventure was there and I took advantage of it. I looked at my boyfriend and he was also having fun, therefore I enjoyed the view and the ride. This is definitely something I want to do again, but in another location.
Would you try it?
