Michelin Stars Of Brabant

Last year it was the European Region of Gastronomy in Brabant, a Dutch region in the south of The Netherlands.

Needless to say, when my friend Anne, from AnneFoodieTraveler invited me to have a taste of the famous Michelin stars, I couldn’t say no! I mean, there is no way I should miss such an event, right, dear reader?

Therefore, I got my coat and my camera and off I was to Breda. I did some research to figure out what is going on, The Netherlands had a great year and 2019 is even better in terms of Michelin restaurants, and I am one of those lucky people to try out together with an international crowd of bloggers and journalist, all the goodies prepared by our amazing chefs. The event was held in an ex-prison in the middle of the city, where you can host events. The amazing table decoration was done by Enjoy Pure Styling and the event was organized by Brabant Tourism Board, as part of their #BrabantCelebratesFood for the title of European Region of Gastronomy.

The food was prepared with love and cared by Tim Bressers and Soenil Bahadoer - Michelin stars chefs!

See below is a few of the delicious goodies I tried.

Also, after the amazing lunch, I was part of the international group to visit and discover Breda. The city now has an app, which can be used to discover the beautiful graffiti around the city. Artists are commissioned to paint and give a colour to a certain area or street.

The evening ended up so fast and I had to go back to Amsterdam, but unfortunately, I don’t really know my ways with the Dutch trains, and I end up taking a train in the opposite direction for around 30 minutes. On top of that, by the time I managed to get to Amsterdam, I also took the metro in the wrong direction and then passed my station and I also had to take a bus.

All these happened probably because I was just mesmerized by the delicious food I had.
