5 Tips For Taking The Best Travel Photos
Scrolling through an Instagram feed, you always notice those perfect, bright, and beautiful photos, and you wonder, "why do my travel photos never look that good? No worries, I have five tips for getting the best travel photos ever!
Pay attention to the position of the sun
Everyone wants the best photo that gets thousands of likes on Instagram, but there are several points that you need to pay attention to. The one important detail is – the position of the sun! Pay attention to where it comes up and where it disappears again. With this light, you can take into account in your photos. The best moments on the day are when the sun comes up and goes just before the sun goes down, also called the Golden Hours. If you are not taking the sun into account, your photo is probably overexposed and not usable for your Instagram feed.
Do research where you want to take photos
If you want to take a picture of a beautiful location such as the Iceland gallery, the landscapes in Vietnam or the Tower Bridge in London, make sure you are there early so that you do not have too many people in the photo. So, hop off your bed and go for the best photo. You have to do something for it and work a bit harder than the rest!
Do not discard 'failed' photos
There are plenty of apps with which you can give your 'unsuccessful' photo a different color or adjust in terms of white balance. Lightroom is a great app that you can use for this. But if you do not want to take a subscription, VSCO is another right solution or even Snapseed.
Make sure there are no objects behind your head
When you are on that beautiful promenade, make sure that no traffic sign grows out of your head. In other words; pay attention to whether there are objects behind the head of the person you are photographing. This prevents crazy photobombs. Though again, if you are planning for a funny account, maybe that can work as well. Be sure you know what you want by looking at the bigger picture, before starting to shoot.
Ask other people to take that beautiful picture
Do not be shy! Ask people to take your picture! Here you can select the best people: look around and see who makes photos - does someone look like an Instagrammer, photographer or blogger? (well, how do they look). In any case, you will not find out if you do not ask! Nine times out of ten, they ask if you can return the favor when they have finished taking the photos. In addition to a chill clique remotely, you also meet some friendly people!
